5 Things Every Car Owner Must Have

Updated: Nov 23, 2021

With the pandemic slowly reeling in (hopefully), people are itching to go out and about once again, and escape their isolated states for almost two years. That also means that you might be tempted to take your garage queens out on the road once again, and simply drive. You're probably in your car already, engine started, ready to roar out of your garage, so we'll keep this quick.

Just a reminder though, we're still in the midst of a pandemic, so if you are planning to go out for a drive and visit some places, make sure to observe social distancing and minimum health protocols. With that out of the way, let's begin.

Car Insurance

Look, let's face it. Manila, or the Philippines in general, isn't home to the world's best drivers. There will always be those who will suddenly cut in front of you while you're at speed, or even those who don't know how to use their indicators. What are we saying here? Accidents CAN happen. You just don't know when. That's why it's always important to have car insurance on hand, in order to greatly lighten the financial burden that comes with either repairing your ride, or compensation for any injuries.

Car Toolkit

In addition to bad drivers, the Philippines is also plagued with horrendous road conditions. This means that problems such a flat tire CAN happen, and once again, you just don't know when. It's better to be safe than sorry, so be sure to always have a toolkit containing tools such as wrenches and tire jacks to assist. Also, make sure that the spare tire is properly inflated, and is appropriate for your car, so that you can get back on the road as soon as possible.

Apple, Android, it doesn't matter. Nowadays a smartphone is almost an essential, as not only does it provide communication, it also allows you to bring your life on the go. In addition, most modern cars also give you the ability to integrate your phone into your car's infotainment system, giving you access to a GPS, hands-free calls or even your saved music playlists. After all, no one a wants a boring and quiet drive. Just don't fiddle with your phone while on the road.

We go back to another unpredictable thing on Philippine roads: the weather. Sometimes, days in the Philippines can get very hot, before culminating in a rain shower towards the night. You will never know when you will have to park outdoors and we're sure you don't want to be soaking wet, and neither does your date, or your kids.

Speaking of the weather, you definitely can't avoid sweating, especially with the humidity of the Philippines. Of course, you would want to rush to your car as soon as possible, and blast the air conditioning. What you don't know however, is that the sweat that gets into contact with your car's surfaces, becomes the perfect breeding ground for certain bacteria, which eventually produces unpleasant odors. Not to worry though, as with ZeoBreeze, it can absorb these unpleasant odors from your car's cabin, before releasing a fragrance to refresh it.
